stOh, you've got me there! It's a bit like asking a chef when the best time to
eat is – breakfast, lunch, or dinner?
You see, the USA and Canada are huge countries, spanning multiple climate zones,
so the "best" time to visit depends on where you're going and what you're
planning to do.
If you're hoping to catch the glorious colors of New England's fall foliage,
October would be your best bet. If it's a beach vacation in California or
Florida you're after, summer is the ideal time, but beware, it can be crowded
and hot!
If you're looking to hit the slopes in the Rocky Mountains or in Whistler,
Canada, winter is your season. Spring can be a lovely time to visit the southern
states or to see the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C.
Then there's festival season. Mardi Gras in New Orleans? That's in February. The
Calgary Stampede? That's in July. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta?
That's in October.
So the "best" time to visit really depends on what you want out of your trip.
It's like having an all-you-can-eat buffet in front of you – you just have to
decide whether you're in the mood for salad, steak, or a sweet dessert!
